Charles Szymanski is a professor of law at the Vytautas Magnus University. He also serves as a visiting professor at the Universityof Luxembourg and as an adjunctprofessor at the Michigan State University College of Law. He received his doctor of jurisprudence degree at the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif (open to students with grades within the top 10% of the class). Prior to his relocation to Europe, Professor Szymanski was also a practicing attorney in the United States, and served as the Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. He still maintains an AV “preeminent” rating by the Martindale attorney rating service in the U.S. His primary research areas include labor law, public international law and alternative dispute resolution, and is the author of numerous publications on these subjects. Professor Szymanski has also spoken widely in these fields, having been an invited speaker to conferences and seminars in the United States, Lithuania, Ireland, Poland, Ukraine, Israel, Cyprus, Russia, Slovakia, Finland and Italy.
