About

We, the members of the Research Cluster for Applied Ethics (RCAE), come from various disciplines (philosophy, law, social work, education, and applied informatics) and have a strong interest in ethical reasoning and decision-making in the context of our particular area of expertise. We all share the idea that ethical issues are of utmost importance in the natural, social, and human sciences. That's why we want to contribute to this field.

Our main goal is to conduct interdisciplinary research with respect to important issues in the context of applied ethics and to publish our results at international journals. Furthermore, by means of mutual support (e.g. regular meetings, discussion groups, talks, workshops etc.) as well as by virtue of a strong local and global network, we hope to eventually become a centre for applied ethics in the future.
